Meet Sydney

Sydney McDowell’s passion is helping others. A California native, she moved to San Francisco in 2000 to study physical therapy. She fell in love with the city’s culture and rich history and spent the next two decades giving back to San Francisco through private practice and health care operations. Throughout her entire career, Sydney has always been in public-facing positions, and she has built a strong network of local professionals. She transferred her people skills to a new career in real estate, and her ability to connect with clients, organize complicated transactions, and communicate effectively make her a standout agent.

Sydney’s signature style combines superior problem-solving skills with genuine care to make a positive impact on her community. An excellent listener, she forges strong relationships with her clients and creates a customized plan to achieve their goals. Thanks to her personal experiences with commercial real estate and buying her own San Francisco home, Sydney truly empathizes with her clients, and she is dedicated to securing them the best deal possible.

Sydney loves living in San Francisco with her husband Tim, daughter Salem, and their McNab shepherd Lucy. Her passion for the city shines through in everything she does. She values education, and she volunteers with her daughter’s school and the Exploratorium. Sydney is also a member of the Loose Interpretations, a local women’s a cappella group. She loves taking long hikes with her dog, practicing yoga and Pilates, running, and swimming.
