Steve’s real estate career has been successful from day one: During his first six months as an agent, twenty years ago, he sold approximately $1 million worth of real estate. Since then, Steve has been employed by several established firms and has consistently been a top-producing agent, selling over 75 percent more properties in San Francisco than the average professional. He’s also a member of the National, California, and San Francisco Associations of Realtors®.

Steve’s educational and professional background is diverse. He has an undergraduate degree in English with a concentration on journalism from the University of North Carolina, he studied graduate finance at Stanford, and his pre-real estate careers spanned a wide range of industries from construction to broadcast journalism and politics to international investments. As a former journalist, reporter, anchor, communications director, speechwriter, and press spokesperson, it’s no wonder Steve has made such an impact on his clients with his effective communication skills and ability to add value to one of life’s most important transactions.

Although his former careers took him from North Carolina to The Netherlands, Washington, D.C. and San Francisco, there’s no place Steve would rather call home than the San Francisco Bay Area. His love for the region extends beyond the pride that living in such a beautiful place brings to its residents—he has a deep understanding of its history, culture, neighborhoods, and dynamic real estate market.

In Steve’s spare time he indulges his interest in affordable housing, environmental issues, local, state, national and international politics, and language studies. He is also an avid cyclist and a college hoops fanatic—tracing back to his days as a national champion cheerleader at UNC."
